VACCA Presentation

VACCA is the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency and is one of the partners of the South-East Metro Mental Health & Wellbeing Connect centre, alongside the lead provider, Better Health Network and Berry Street. VACCA presented at the in-person Implementation meeting in February 2024. They shared about the SE Metro partnership and the role of VACCA in that Connect centre. Young Carers Forum

A presentation by Satellite and Wellways - Who's at the heart of the Centre? Making sure young people and children aren't lost. This presentation highlights aspects of the co-produced project between Wellways, Satellite and young people, with the aim of seeking young people’s design recommendations for the Centres, both physically and digitally, in Barwon SouthWest and Gippsland.

An overview of programs and services from Victorian Transcultural Mental Health (VTMH)

VTMH is a state-wide service development unit that builds the capacity of the public mental health and wellbeing sector to deliver services that engage with and are responsive to the needs of diverse communities. The Education and Service Development Consultants at VTMH prepared the following presentation for the Mental Health & Wellbeing Connect centre staff audience. This presentation provides an overview of VTMH’s programs and services that contribute towards building a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive mental health care system.

Supports for families, carers and kin who journey alongside someone with BPD

Spectrum runs online and in-person training and support for families and carers of people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Rita Brown, the Senior Carer Consultant for Spectrum and the President of the BPD Foundation, will be sharing about the supports available for families and carers who are walking alongside someone with borderline personality disorder (BPD).

Tuning in to Teens is a program developed in Victoria which is revolutionising engagement between parents and teens. Deb and Diana will provide an overview of the six-session program and a sample of the delivery to demonstrate what utilising the course could be like for families and carers if we could run it for Connect centres in 2025.
